Rashtra Kavach Om Justifies Irrelevance Of Mass With Self Troll

Rashtra Kavach Om starring Aditya Roy Kapur is the new low.

Apart from him it also stars Sanjana Sanghi, Jackie Shroff, Ashutosh Rana, Prakash Raj and Prachee Shah Paandya.

Zee Studios is calling it a massy film as if the masses are excited about it. Lately, we have seen a lot of so-called “massy” films which have absolutely zero connection with logic, rationality and let alone sensibility.

Trashy films with absolutely zero quality are pushed into theatres as if it is the infamous era of the late 80s.

Producers must understand that massy films are not the way of dumping trash in theatres. When we talk about massy movies then it has to be films like “Vikram” which are entertaining, engaging and don’t serve us with over the top action.

But try to remember what is happening lately in the film industry. Mahesh Babu’s Sarkaru Vaari Paata, John Abraham’s Satyamev Jayate 2, Vijay’s Beast and many more have nothing substantial in them.

All they do is slow-motion fights and absurd dialogues. In South Indian industries, however, fandom is more prominent than film so they somehow manage to bag decent money from theatres.

But the days of superstardom in Bollywood seem to be over. After Hrithik Roshan, we haven’t seen a superstar and even the established ones have lost a significant grip.

In this situation where Hindi film audiences have become so choosy, why do films like Rashtra Kavach Om even exist?

On the first day, Rashtra Kavach Om garnered only 1.51 Crores and Zee Studios is celebrating it as if it’s a milestone.

Needless to say, the poster is childish and the lack of budget among makers is clearly visible, but throwing money on such films is like flushing them down.

The producers might have thought that they could milk the audience by the name of the film but they were wrong.

It’s high time Bollywood understands what the audience is asking for. In the name of mass, people appreciate films like KGF and Vikram and NOT Rashtra Kavach Om.
