Telugu superstar ‘Mass Maharaja’ Ravi Teja’s latest action comedy ‘Dhamaka’ has locked its streaming partner. The action comedy’s post-theatrical streaming rights have been acquired by Netflix.
‘Dhamaka’ is all set to release today and the movie will see Ravi Teja in a dual role as Swamy and Anand Chakravarthy. Also starring alongside him is Sreeleela. The movie is her second Telugu film, and she plays Pavani, who falls in love with Ravi Teja’s Swamy in the film. Malayalam star Jayaram will also be appearing in the film in a prominent role. Best known for his work in action comedies, the hype around the film from Ravi Teja’s fans is sizable.
The premise of the movie reads “Pavani falls in love with Swamy, a street-smart local guy and Swamy’s doppelganger Anand Chakravarthy, a businessman who is running a company in Vizag. When Anand’s father Chakravarthy, announces Anand as the CEO of the company, some of his employees hatch a plan to eliminate Anand, where Swamy also gets entangled in the mess.”
‘Dhamaka’ is written and directed by Trinadha Rao Nakkina(Hello Guru Prema Kosame) and produced by Abhishek Agarwal and T G Vishwa Prasad, under the People Media Factory and Abhishek Agarwal Arts banners. It is to be noted that Abhishek Agarwal has been having a brilliant 2022 having produced two of the biggest hits of the year- ‘Kashmir Files'(340 crores) and ‘Karthikeya 2′(120 crores). Cinematography has been done by Karthik Ghattamaneni.
‘Dhamaka’ will be released today alongside Nikhil Siddhartha and Anupama Parameshwaran’s ’18 Pages’. Both anticipated Telugu films, and it is expected that both do well. Ravi Teja will be next seen in Chiranjeevi’s ‘Waltair Veerayya’ as ACP Vikram Sagar. He will also star in and produce the upcoming action thriller ‘Ravanasura’.
