Marvel’s Iron Man broke barriers before it was considered cool. Now, fans always love a fan theory, but if the theory becomes reality, it is indeed a moment where you can have goosebumps. And this time, RDJ is at the center of it.
We’ve all seen how Marvel and DC superheroes would look if they changed places, how they would look. Though we all love Ben Affleck as Batman, there’s a wish to see RDJ playing the role—a stoic and witty person, a perfect fit for Batman.
And through the comics or the big screens, the battle goes on regarding Batman and Iron Man. This time, RDJ could have been the answer to the whole problem.
RDJ was about to be featured in Nolan’s Batman!
At least, that’s what a recent interview by RDJ confessed—that he was in talks with Christopher Nolan. But hold your horses, it was not for the role of Batman.
Mr. Robert Downey Jr. was supposed to play the role of Scarecrow in the film Batman Begins before he lost it, for the first time, to Cillian ‘Oppenheimer’ Murphy.
Yes, eighteen years before RDJ loses again to Oppenheimer as he played the role of Lewis Strauss, he lost it to a young Murphy in the role of Scarecrow.
Sometimes events like these indeed erase the line between the reel and the real, as what comes as theory or speculations can always be closer than we can ever anticipate.
But, we all love RDJ, don’t we? Check Oppenheimer streaming on Prime Video and Zee5, available in video on demand format. And if you’re asking for another suggestion, Zodiac and The Judge are two good watches that feature RDJ.
