Apple TV+ today released the first official trailer for Amazing Stories, its anthology series of fantasy, horror and supernatural stories that is executive-produced by Steven Spielberg for the tech giant’s streaming platform.
Steven Spielberg had earlier produced two seasons of a similar show, also called Amazing Stories, which had aired on TV in the eighties.
Initially, five stories will stream in Season 1, with more slated to be added later. The stories are directed by well-known names behind some of today’s most popular shows — Chris Long (The Americans), Mark Mylod (Game of Thrones, Succession), Michael Dinner (Unbelievable), Susanna Fogel (Amazon’s Utopia) and Sylvain White (Stomp the Yard, The Rookie).
Edward Burns, Michelle Wilson, Victoria Pedretti, Dylan O’Brien, Kerry Bishé, Austin Stowell, Sasha Alexander, Josh Holloway, Jacob Latimore, Duncan Joiner, and late actor Robert Forster, complete the cast.
Joining Spielberg as executive producers are Eddy Kitsis and Adam Horowitz, the guys behind this year’s hit, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
One episode of the series will drop every Friday on Apple TV+, starting from the first Friday, that is the premiere date, 6th March 2020. The first episode is slated to be, ‘The Cellar’.
