RGV Follows Confession With His “Biggest Film Ever” ‘The Syndicate’

Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma, who has given multiple hits like ‘Satya’, ‘Rangeela’, ‘Sarkar’ and many more, is well known for his experimental style, gritty realism, technical finesse and more. Although in recent time he has faced a setback when it comes to quality filmmaking.

After the recent re-release of his cult classic film ‘Satya’, Varma got quite emotional and penned a heartfelt note on his X account confessing that he regretted not setting this film as the benchmark for his other projects.

He also expressed that he was indeed blinded by the success of ‘Satya’ and ‘Rangeela’ and that led him to “meandering into making films for shock value or for gimmick effect or to make a vulgar display of my technical wizardry or various other things equally meaningless and in that careless process, forgetting such a simple truth that technique utmost can elevate a given content but it can’t carry it”.

Following this confession, Varma took to X again today to announce his biggest film ever called ‘The Syndicate’ which will be about a terrifying organisation which threatens the very existence of India.

“But unlike the organisations of the past this new organisation joins forces from various groups including POLICING AGENCIES, POLITICOS, ULTRA RICH BUSINESS MEN and also the MILITARY thus making it a SYNDICATE. SYNDICATE is a futuristic story not set in the far away future, but what can happen even tomorrow or next week.”

Varma also vowed that ‘Syndicate’ will wash away all the cinema sins he has committed in the past few years. Whether or not that happens and how will be known when the film comes to theatres, until then we can only hope to see the mastery of Ram Gopal Varma’s art once again. Further details about cast and crew for ‘Syndicate’ will be unveiled soon.
