Ridley Scott To Direct A Film On Bee Gees

Ridley Scott’s entire career is musical, full of grandeur, and he’s making an attempt to not let go of that spirit. The world is again investing in films about musical figures, and even concert films are experiencing a rise. Amid all this, Ridley Scott wants to participate in that trend.

As Paramount’s “Bob Marley: One Love” is already rocking the box office, Paramount is determined to invest in another one, this time about the Bee Gees.

For those unaware of their existence, the Bee Gees were a musical group formed in 1958 by three brothers: Barry, Robin, and Maurice Gibb. With a career spanning five decades, they are one of the best-selling artists of all time.

And Scott is the top contender to direct it.

Ridley Scott teams up with Graham King, Stacey Snider, and Michael Pruss to produce the film. John Logan, known for “Gladiator,” will work with Scott again on the script. Paramount Pictures will distribute worldwide, with Amblin and SISTER co-financing. Barry Gibb, the sole surviving brother, will also contribute as an executive producer.

While their story was previously documented in “The Bee Gees: How Can You Mend a Broken Heart,” Scott’s attempt will be one of the first major movies featuring the Bee Gees.

Also, speaking of movies about musical figures, the Michael Jackson biopic looks promising as the world awaits more of these musical journeys on the big and small screens.
