Epics are timeless and such is the epic story of Napolean. Rising from the aftermath of the French Revolution, an ambitious brute changed the direction of European history. Well, celebrated director Ridley Scott made a movie on it which is simply titled Napoleon. Well, it’s coming to Apple TV+ on March 1st! This big film, led by Joaquin Phoenix tells the fascinating story of Napoleon Bonaparte, the famous French military leader.
The movie takes us back to a time of big changes in France, during the French Revolution. It follows Napoleon’s life from his early days as a soldier to his rise as Emperor and his eventual downfall. Throughout the story, we also see his complicated relationship with his wife, Joséphine.
While “Napoleon” has some amazing visual effects and costumes, it hasn’t escaped criticism for not getting all the historical details right. But the director, Ridley Scott, isn’t too bothered by that. He believes that interpreting history accurately can be really tough. Also, he didn’t give a damn about the critics as he famously slammed French critics by saying, “They hate themselves too”.
Despite any criticisms, “Napoleon” is truly an exciting and engaging movie experience. With its incredible cast and stunning visuals, it’s sure to keep you glued to your screen.
