Prime Video is coming up with their biggest series yet. We are talking about Lords Of The Rings: The Rings Of Power. No doubt the epic fantasy series was adapted into a highly successful film trilogy that won numerous awards.
But for an even grander experience, Prime Video is bringing it into the form of a series. No doubt, it is highly anticipated and may prove to be a game changer for the platform.
Regardless, those who wanted to have a theatrical experience of the film may have the opportunity to do so. Just two days before the series’s release on Prime Video, it will be released in theatres.
On August 31st, the first two episodes of The Rings Of Power will be screened in around 200 theatres of the world, and that too for free.
However, the theatrical release is solely a program by Cinemark Movie Rewards. The name of the theatrical chain may sound new to Indians. This is because the movie chain organizing this event doesn’t operate in India.
Although Amazon didn’t ignore the series’ promotion in India and they organized a glittering event in Mumbai, Indians would not be able to watch it in the theatres.
This fortune would be available for audiences only in the USA, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Argentina, Colombia, Australia, and New Zealand.
It would be great if they brought this opportunity to India through a separate movie chain as the platform has an enormous 20 Million+ subscribers in India, but that doesn’t seem to happen.
Seeing such a visual extravaganza in theatres is something the fans of LoTR would always love to see. But stay tuned to Binged as we will let you know if there is any update about the same.
