The official teaser for a new web series Rio Connection has been released. It is a SonyLIV original and will be released on the platform on. 21st April. Rio Connection will tell the story of three European drug lords who conquer the whole drug market of Rio De Janeiro.
It will be a miniseries and have only eight episodes. The episodes are directed by directors like Mauro Lima, Thiago Teitelroit and Toni Vanzolini. The series stars actors like Valerio Morigi, Aksel Ustun, Raphaël Kahn, Aryè Campos, Carla Salle, Marina Ruy Barbosa, Maria Casadevall and many others.
As we get to know from trailer, Rio Connection will be telling the story of drug trafficking in the 1970s. When all the American and Italian authorities close in on the three prominent and strongest figures of organized crime, the three criminals go to Brazil with new identities and try to tropicalize the drug business. The trailer has everything that you expect from such a show. It takes you inside the so called glamorous lives of the drug mafias, with all the sex, gunfights and thrill.
The screenplay of the series is written by Mauro Lima and the cinematography is handled by Paulo Vainer. The visuals of the trailer are good and there are chances it will not be just a gloomy crime drama, it looks like their will be comedic elements as well.
