It is just a matter of last week. The world was going gaga over Ripley. It was thrilling and had all the elements of a good show. It even got good reviews. However, it failed to garner much attention from the audience.
Even though people said it was great, not many folks watched it on Netflix. It only got 16.9 million hours of views and ended up as the 8th most-watched English show on the platform.
You may think it is not bad. But, for a debut week and that too of Ripley’s magnitude, things should have been smoother.
It’s kind of strange because critics liked the story and the actors did a good job. But for some reason, not many people tuned in to watch it. There could be a few reasons why.
First, there’s a lot of stuff to watch on Netflix, so “Ripley” had to compete with other popular shows and movies. Maybe people just picked something else to watch instead.
Also, “Ripley” was shot in black and white, which is cool but might not be everyone’s cup of tea. Some folks might prefer shows with more colours maybe.
If you see the charts then 3 Body Problem is still ruling Netflix and there is absolutely no competition. Let’s see what other shows pop up in future.
