The upcoming Bengali film ‘Ananta’ starring audience favorites Ritwick Chakroborty and Sohini Sarkar is all set to release on the 16th of December. It is going to have a direct OTT release and considering Ritwick’s success with ‘Gora’, and Sohini’s with ‘Mandaar’ we can say the two actors have a very good track record with digital releases.
‘Ananta: The Eternal‘ is written and directed by Abhinandan Dutta who has previously worked as associate director in many well known movies like ‘Arshinagar’, ‘Goynar Baksho’, ‘Durga Sohay’, ‘Ghore Baire Aj’ and many more. The cast includes Anindya Pulak Banerjee, Ritwick and Sohini. Ritwick and Sohini have a great on screen chemistry and whenever they have come together for a project it has been a marvelous one, fans are hopeful this will be no exception.
Ananta is the story of Mithu and Shubho. Every afternoon Mishtu and Shubho see each other crossing themselves in the stairs but they do not interact. Mishtu lives with her alcoholic father and Shubho is an out of work man who lives on the rent he gets from his family mansion. A strange connection between the two builds up slowly, but it is not a fully expressed relationship.
Ananta is going to release directly on Zee5 on December 16. The trailers looks visually stunning, it elevates everyday things to a level of poetry. If you closely follow Bengali cinema you would know the acting prowess of Ritwick Chakroborty. Ananta will be no exception.
