Riverdale S4 Shoot Halted After Crew/Cast Member Comes into Contact with Coronavirus-infected Person

The production of popular show ‘Riverdale’ has been halted after it became known that a cast or crew member has had contact with a person who tested positive for Coronavirus. The show was currently in the process of shooting its Season 4.

In a statement to the media, Warner Bros Television, producers of the show, said, “We have been made aware that a team member from Riverdale, which is produced in Vancouver, was recently in contact with a person who has tested positive for COVID-19. We are working closely with the appropriate authorities and health agencies in Vancouver to identify and contact all individuals who may have come into direct contact with our team member. Out of an abundance of caution, production on Riverdale is currently suspended.”

Riverdale is the latest show to be affected adversely by the rapidly spreading Coronavirus. Before that came news of reality TV show Survivor postponing its shoot in the Fiji Islands from the latter half of March to end of May.

Another show that saw its shooting schedule go awry due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic is Disney+’s The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, which cancelled its Prague shoot amidst concerns regarding the spread of the virus.
