Film pundits are considering it a huge financial success amidst the present COVID-19 restrictions. The opening of theatres in Maharashtra has helped the director’s cop project to soar high. Now, he has confirmed that the fifth instalment of Golmaal will soon undergo production.
In his recent interview with a news platform, Shetty confirmed that Golmaal 5 would happen. He also mentioned that the masala comedy franchise could never culminate. Additionally, he has plans for Singham 3 as well. The plot of the upcoming Singham entry will focus on Article 370. However, its shooting will commence next year.
Despite its mixed response, Sooryavanshi is performing exceptionally well on the pan-India level. It has breathed a new fire in the theatres. Additionally, it has proven to be a boon for those people who are working in the theatres.
Shetty made his directional debut with Zameen (2003), starring Ajay Devgn and Abhishek Bachchan. But he got his dream start with the first instalment of the Golmaal series in 2006. The movie’s surprising success helped the director’s career. The last Golmaal entry came out four years ago during the occasion of Diwali. It turned out to be the highest-grossing movie in the franchise.
