RRR Doubles The Record Held By Gangubai Kathiawadi On Netflix

When Gangubai Kathiawadi came on Netflix then it was undoubtedly the most successful Indian film on the platform. For the first time, we saw an Indian film sitting on the top spot of most watched non-English films globally.

Not only that, it remained there for six continuous weeks which no Indian film had done so far.

But surprise surprise, RRR has left the Alia Bhatt starrer behind by a large margin. Meanwhile, RRR also became the first Indian film to open the double-digit club by staying on the list for 10 weeks.

In the list, as you can see, RRR is in the 10th position but it is exceptionally amazing to see that it is maintaining its position in the list for 13 weeks in a row.

The credit for this goes to the epic filmmaking style of SS Rajamouli and the marketing which was consistent throughout the months by not only the producers but also Netflix. For the first time, the main Netflix handle promoted an Indian film and we know the thunderous result.

So long story short, RRR has created a new record for Indian films on Netflix and it will be remaining there for a long time to come.
