Rajamouli’s own films ‘Baahubali: The Beginning’ and ‘Baahubali: The Conclusion’. Moreover, ‘RRR’ has also outranked the likes of ‘Drishyam’, ‘Satya’, ‘Andhadhun’, ‘K.G.F’, and ‘Lagaan’, amongst other top-ranked Indian films on IMDb.

Regarding the film’s commercial aspect, the ‘RRR’ box office response during the first weekend in India proved to be as magnificent as the film itself. For instance, just the Hindi collections for ‘RRR’ as per trade analyst Ramesh Bala were on the verge of breaching the Rs.30-crore mark on Sunday. Furthermore, the film had reportedly earned a massive Rs.223 crores on the first day at the box office worldwide.

And now, into the bargain, ‘RRR’ has concurrently achieved the rare feat of being placed amongst the top three films at the US box office as well. ‘RRR’ is just behind Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum starrer action-adventure movie ‘The Lost City’ and Matt Reeves’ superhero movie ‘The Batman’, which are on the first and second places, respectively. ‘The Lost City’ was released alongside ‘RRR’ in US theatres.

‘RRR’ has purportedly raked in an impressive $9.5 million at the US box office during the first weekend, that is, from 25th March to 27th March 2022. On the other hand, ‘The Lost City’ and ‘The Batman’ had pulled in $31 million and $20.5 million during the same period. This is an incredible achievement for an Indian film.
