Last week two films dominated Netflix India. They were SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus RRR and Prithviraj Sukumaran’s Jana Gana Mana.

So the bottom line is, that RRR is outdoing Gangubai Kathiawadi. We reported that Gangubai Kathiawadi is the most successful Indian film on Netflix but now it will soon be dethroned.
The international community has showered immense love for RRR, even more than what Gangubai Kathiawadi received.
So RRR has become the first Indian film to secure the number one position in the global non-English chart of views.
We at Binged reported how RRR became the second Indian film to remain in the top position. Now, it refused to step down in its second week.
Even Gangubai Kathiawadi remained in that position for only a week.
So it’s clear that RRR was the champion on Netflix last week. But things are promising for Jana Gana Mana.
Firstly it debuted on 2nd June and we have data till 5th June. So unlike RRR, it didn’t get a full week run.
Still, it was the 8th most-watched non-English film globally. In India, it was the 2nd most-watched film but Gangubai Kathiawadi is still wooing the international community.
It is still performing far better than many Indian films put together.
