Rumours Dispelled: Letitia Wright Still a Part of ‘Black Panther 2’

Last month, we had informed our readers that the production for the highly anticipated ‘Black Panther’ sequel was purportedly being halted owing to a stunt rig injury of an extremely important cast member Letitia Wright that happened earlier this year in August. And that the production for ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ was slated to resume sometime in early 2022.

As fans across the globe were expecting a quick resumption of the film’s production, in a worrying revelation, a news portal recently reported about Letitia Wright’s unwillingness to return to the MCU ostensibly over the much-publicized and much-criticized anti-vaccine mandate issue.

However, these rumors have now been dispelled thanks to a newsletter by THR, which has confirmed from pertinent sources that ‘Black Panther 2’ is indeed on track to resume production in late January in Atlanta and that too with Letitia Wright.

In the highly anticipated sequel titled ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’, Letitia Wright is set to reprise her role as T’Challa’s (Late Chadwick Boseman) younger sister and Wakanda’s technology wizard. After Chadwick Boseman’s unfortunate demise, Letitia Wright’s character Shuri was apparently given a meatier role in the ‘Black Panther’ sequel compared to the parent film.

But whether Letitia Wright’s character Shuri will assume the legendary mantle of ‘Black Panther’ in the film’s sequel, is currently just a matter of speculation. But if that’s actually the case, she would certainly have big shoes to fill.

Previously slated for a July 2022 theatrical release, ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ was postponed and is now scheduled for a grand release on 11th November 2022. And if things go as planned, there should be no further changes in the film’s new release date and obviously with Letitia Wright’s presence.
