Audiences’ favourite comedy action star Jackie Chan made a public appearance after a long time at the Red Sea Film Festival and he made an announcement for the fans that he will be returning to reprise his role in the famous franchise of Rush Hour and that the script of the film is still under work.
Jackie Chan starred in the first installment of the series in 1998 alongside famous comedian and actor Chris Tucker. He played a foul mouthed officer from the Los Angeles Police Department who goes on to make a partnership with a Hong Kong Police officer played by Jackie. They try to solve a case together and their chemistry attracted a lot of audiences and the movies were great successes at the box office. Actors like Julia Hsu, Roselyn Sànchez, Ken Leung too are in important roles in the movie. ‘Rush Hour 3’, the last film of the series came in 2007 and it has been long since Jackie Chan was seen in a movie. Fans are excited to have him back as their favourite character Insprlector Lee. Most probably Chris Tucker too will return as the quirky and funny officer Carter, Rush Hour is nothing without his presence anyway.
Rush Hour was the movie that established Jackie Chan’s position among the Hollywood A-listers because previously he could not find much space for him in the industry due to problems in speaking English. This series is equally important and close to his heart as it is to his fans.
2022 marks the 60th year of Jackie Chan in the film business and he tells his fans that he would like to focus more on love stories than action stories this time.
