Ryan Coogler’s Next Film Stars Michael B. Jordan, Gets Release Window

Ryan Coogler has partnered with Warner Bros for his next film, starring Michael B. Jordan as the lead. The movie will come out in IMAX format.

Coogler’s next project is yet to receive a title. However, the Black Panther director has described it as an event film. The filmmaker will also co-produce the movie via Proximity Media with Sev Ohanian and Zinzi Coogler. Two-time Academy Award-winning composer, Ludwig Goransson, will provide his score for the project. Plus, he will serve as one of the executive producers, along with Will Greenfield and Rebecca Cho. Goransson has bagged Oscars for his sensational musical scores in Black Panther and Oppenheimer.

Plot details are being kept under wraps. However, some reports have disclosed that the film will be a 1930s-era vampire movie. Coogler has written its story. The production will commence in April this year.

Warner Bros managed to strike a deal with Coogler and Jordan for their upcoming film after winning a highly competitive bidding war, which took place in February this year.

Ryan Coogler and Michael B. Jordan are long-time collaborators. The latter has starred in all of Coogler’s feature-directional ventures: Fruitvale Station, Creed, Black Panther, and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Jordan had a cameo appearance in Wakanda Forever. Stay tuned for more updates.
