Saif Ali Khan To Star & Produce ‘The Bridge’ Indian Adaptation

Saif Ali Khan through his Black Knight Films has joined hands with Banijay’s Endemol Shine India to create the Indian adaptation of hit Danish/Swedish scripted series ‘Bron/Broen’ aka ‘The Bridge’.

‘The Bridge’ original version is currently streaming on Prime Video and centres around a mysterious case of murder that happens on the border of two countries and involves authorities from both sides to solve the mystery and catch the mastermind behind it all.

Saif Ali Khan will play the role of Martin in the Hindi version of ‘The Bridge’ while his counter actor is yet to be finalised. Also, whether the Indian adaptation will be set on the border between two countries or states remains under discussion for now.

The OTT platform for the show will be decided after the filming is over which is slated to go on floors in the last quarter of 2023. The show will most probably premiere in second quarter of 2024.

‘The Bridge’ is an internationally successful show and that’s evident from the fact that it has been adapted in multiple languages, set across the international borders of U.S./Mexico, U.K./France, Germany/Austria, Singapore/Malaysia and Russia/Estonia.

Prior to ‘The Bridge’, Saif has worked on OTT projects like Netflix’s ‘Sacred Games’ and Prime Video’s ‘Tandav’. The star will next be seen in Om Raut’s ‘Adipurush’ alongside Prabhas and Kriti Sanon.
