Samantar: Swapnil Joshi & Nitish Bhardwaj Raise Thrill Quotient With S2 Teaser

By Binged Bureau - Jun 17, 2021 @ 02:06 pm

MX Player finally has the trailer release date for Samantar season 2. But before that, they just released a gripping teaser for the same earlier today featuring the two leading characters of the series, Kumar Mahajan and Sudarshan Chakrapani tangled in a new and more complicated game of life.

Those who are unfamiliar with Samantar Season 1, it’s one of the free web contents produced and distributed by MX Player on their platforms last year and the first season has created quite a buzz around Marathi viewers, as the show is of Marathi language. The story of Samantar basically revolves around a young man Kumar Mahajan, whose life changes drastically after he goes on a journey to find Sudarshan Chakrapani, a middle aged man who shares the same destiny with him and it turns out the life Kumar is living currently, has already been lived in the same flow by Sudarshan. Now, Kumar’s challenge is to turn the tides of the events which have already happened and impacted Sudarshan’s life.

The series also created a massive buzz because of the leading men of the show. Both Nitish Bhardwaj who played the role of Sudarshan and Swapnil Joshi who portrayed Kumar, have portrayed the character of Lord Krishna in different television series in different times. While Nitish has played the role in B.R. Chopra’s Mahabharat aired in 1988, Swapnil played the role in Ramanand Sagar’s Shri Krishna in 1993. Now, as they came together in a show where they are living the same life, it felt coincidentally delightful for the audiences to find out that not only in the series, but also in real life, both the actors lived and breathed the same role in different eras.

Apart from Joshi and Bhardwaj, the series features Jayant Sawarkar, Tejaswini Pandit and Nitin Bodhare in pivotal roles. Based on a book named ‘Samantar’ by Suhas Shirvalkar, the season 2 promises to be more gripping and complicated than the first season.

MX Player announced that the trailer will be unveiled by 21st June but before that, enjoy this 26-seconds long teaser for Samantar Season 2:
