Amazon Prime Video has finally announced that The Family Man 2 trailer will drop tomorrow, 19th May, on YouTube and Amazon Prime’s social media handles. The platform released a brand new poster to announce the launch of the trailer of The Family Man 2. What’s unique about this new poster is its design and construction.
Every poster released for The Family Man until now, including both Season 1 and 2, featured only one character prominently – that of Shrikant Tiwari – the family man cum secret spy, played by Manoj Bajpayee. No other character was given prominence on any poster for The Family Man, not Moosa (Neeraj Madhav) main villain in season 1, not Suchitra (Priyamani) wife of Shrikant, nor anyone else – it was only ever about Shrikant Tiwari.
The Family Man 2 Trailer release poster, however is markedly different. And it begs attention for that very reason. Featured prominently on the trailer poster is Samantha Akkineni‘s Raji. Featured in profile, Raji’s character appears looming and larger than life on the poster – and yes, larger than even Shrikant Tiwari’s.
This element – small and insignificant as it may seem to some – alone points to the fact that Samantha Akkineni, as Raji, plays a very, very crucial role in The Family Man 2 – more crucial than Moosa, perhaps. Fans of the petite and pretty actress just can’t wait to see what she will bring to the franchise.
Little is known about Samantha Akkineni’s character in The Family Man 2, except that she’s called Raji. Is she a naxalite in the show? Or an ISIS militant like Moosa in The Family Man Season 1? No details have been revealed by the actress herself or by Raj and DK, the creators of The Family Man. The only information forthcoming from the makers is that Raji is the boldest and edgiest character Samantha Akkineni has ever done in her entire career.
That factor alone has set her fans on edge, and they just can’t wait to watch her in The Family Man 2. The series arrives on Amazon Prime Video in the first week of June – 4th June has been our guess since long. The trailer, of course, releases tomorrow, 19th May.
