Sandler To Reunite With Safdie Brothers, A Second Chance Of Oscars?

Brothers Josh and Benny Safdie have signed a contract with Netflix for a new project and Adam Sandler will be the lead. Adam Sandler previously collaborated with the director duo for the 2019 crime drama ‘Uncut Gems’.

‘Uncut Gems’ was received with great love by the audiences and it has a great rating too on platforms like IMDB and Rotten Tomatoes. Make sure to watch that first if you have not watched it yet.

Joshua and Benny Safdie have made a total of six movies together. They include ‘Good Time’, ‘Heaven Knows What’, ‘Lenny Cooke’, ‘The Pleasure Of Being robbed’, ‘Daddy Longlegs’ and the one with Sandler, ‘Uncut Gems’. And they have impressed audiences over the years.

Adam Sandler has made quite a big name with his comedy movies like ‘You Don’t Mess With The Zohan’, ‘Grown Ups’, ‘Happy Gilmore’ and many more. With ‘Uncut Gems’ there were rumours that Sandler may even get an Oscar for the role, and the actor promised to make his worst movie on purpose as revenge if he does not get the award. Well, he did not get it. But here is one more chance for him.

The Netflix original has not been named yet and nothing about the plot and the genre has been revealed. We know there will not be an Uncut Gems 2 most probably. But there will be something similarly special. Fans eagerly wait for the movie and it is bound to be a big thing when it premieres on Netflix.
