Santhanam’s latest horror comedy, DD Next Level (better known as Devil’s Double Next Level), has found its OTT release date. The genre-blending film, which premiered in theatres in India on May 16, is now set to debut on a new streaming platform.
DD Next Level received mixed critical reception upon its theatrical release and failed to perform well at the box office, despite earning a decent audience reaction. However, it seems the film could fare better with its upcoming streaming debut.

Kissa, a sharp-tongued film reviewer played by Santhanam, finds himself in an unimaginable predicament in director S. Prem Anand’s new film. During a private screening, Kissa is inexplicably pulled into the movie he’s watching, only to awaken on a ghost-ridden cruise ship. The ship is under the unsettling command of the eccentric filmmaker Hitchcock Iruthyaraj, brought to life with flair by Selvaraghavan.
The film offers a meta-cinematic experience, filled with fourth-wall breaks, absurd humour, and a barrage of paranormal jokes. Trapped between two feuding critics, a magical diary that can alter reality, and the chilling possibility of his girlfriend turning into a ghost, Kissa must navigate this supernatural cruise armed with little more than his sarcasm and sheer good fortune.
Led by Santhanam, DD Next Level also stars Selvaraghavan, Gautham Vasudev Menon, and Geethika Tiwary. ZEE5 announced the film’s OTT release via its official social media platforms. Stay tuned for more updates.
