Sarah Paulson’s Asylum Drama Finally Gets A Release Date On Netflix After 3 Years!

Finally after three long years, Netflix has releasesd the first look and release date for Ryan Murphy’s asylum drama series ‘Ratched’. The series will premier on Netflix on 18th September 2020 and will have Sarah Paulson feature as Nurse Mildred Ratched. The series was grabbed by Netflix in 2017 after defeating Apple and Hulu in the bidding war.

The series is an adaptation of the 1962 novel ‘One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest’ by Ken Kesey and has been created by Evan Romansky. Ratched is described as “an origins story, beginning in 1947, which will follow Ratched’s journey and evolution from nurse to full-fledged monster. The series will track her murderous progression through the mental health care system.”

The series is set in the mid-20th century Northern California where Mildred Ratched (Paulson) is appointed as a nurse at a psychiatric hospital. It will follow the nurse’s journey from her initial days to the time she becomes the head nurse.
