Based on a book by historian and journalist Ben McIntyre, “SAS: Rogue Heroes” is briefed as the dramatised unraveling of the formation of the world’s largest and greatest Special Forces Unit, the SAS during the darkest World War Two days. Filmed across UK and Morocco the Cast members of the show include Connor Swindells (playing David Stirling) , Jack O’Connell (playing Paddy Mayne), Alfie Allen (playing Jock Lowes), Sofia Boutella (playing Eve) and Dominic West as Lieutenant Colonel Wrangel Clarke.
Steven Knight is attached as the writer and executive producer of the show. “It has been a privilege to work on a project which tells the story of a renegade band of soldiers who used wit and imagination as much as firepower to halt the march of Fascism across North Africa during the darkest days of World War Two. This is a war story like no other, told in a way that is at once inspired by the facts and true to the spirit of this legendary brigade of misfits and adventurers.” he added. Tom Shankland ia attached to direct.
“SAS: Rogue Heroes” is bankrolled by Kudos for BBC and Nebulastar for Epix. The series is slated to air in the later half of this year on BBC One, iPlayer, and Epix in the US. Watch the teaser glimpse here:
