Football icon David Beckham is coming to Disney Plus and Disney Plus Hotstar in India with his new series, ‘Save Our Squad’. The series premieres on Disney Plus worldwide, and on Disney Plus Hotstar in India, on November 9.
David Beckham will be the host and presenter of the series. The legendary English footballer returns to his roots in East London, where he played football in his growing up years. Beckham will mentor a young, down-and-out team to get back on its feet, and avoid relegation. Beckham will be assisted by his team in helping the players, their coach and their community move forward in the most revolutionary journey of their lives.
‘Save The Squad’ is produced by David Beckham’s production company, Studio 99, along with content creators, Twenty Twenty. Disney’s Sean Doyle is the executive produce of ‘Save The Squad’, on behalf of Disney Plus.
‘Save Our Squad’ will showcase the importance and impact of grassroots football in shaping the future of communities in the U.K. David Beckham will shine a light on the kind of grassroots football that he himself experienced in his growing up days. The footballer hopes to give back to the communities as a mentor, while developing and nurturing young talent.
