Saw franchise did see a massive revamp and as it recently celebrated its 20th anniversary, the makers came out with a massive surprise. And no, last year Saw X came out, became a massive box-office hit.
With just $13M as budget, the film managed to gross $112M, proving that the franchise is still healthy and successful.
Currently, the franchise’s all the films are streaming on Prime Video but the tenth installment is making an exception.
A recent tweet by Lionsgate Play confirms that Saw X will be streaming on their platform. Definitely a good deal for Lionsgate as they are trying to make an attempt to grab some part of the Indian market and that too with some foreign titles.
Released on September 29th last year, Lionsgate Play will be streaming the film on 23rd February.
Now, at least for the Indian audience, Saw barely made it to a good number of theaters, and for the first few installments of the film, it is really loved by the fans. And with the OTT release, it will definitely boost the numbers.
Talking about the storyline, it circles around John.
John, facing terminal cancer, seeks a miracle cure in Mexico, only to find it’s a scam. Fueled by despair, he becomes Jigsaw, targeting the con artists with brutal “games” forcing them to confront their cruelty. As John unleashes his twisted justice, the film unveils both his motivations and the horrifying choices his victims face.
