The much-awaited Part 2 of Scam 2003: The Telgi Story is finally making its way to SonyLIV. The remaining episodes of Scam 2003 will arrive on SonyLIV on 3rd November, 2023. It is more than two months after the first five episodes of the series premiered on the platform on 1st September, 2023. Scam 2003: The Telgi Story Part 2 will also consist of five episodes, just like Part 1.
Scam 2003: The Telgi Story tells the story of the infamous counterfeit stamp paper scam of the 1990s – 2000s, said to be a ₹30,000 crores scam. Abdul Karim Telgi was the mastermind of that scam. Theatre actor Gagan Dev Riar plays Telgi in Scam 2003: The Telgi Story. The series is adapted from the Hindi non-fiction book “Reporter Ki Diary”, authored by journalist Sanjay Singh, credited with busting the scam.
Scam 2003: The Telgi Story Part 1 centred on the rise of Abdul Karim Telgi in the world of crime; and how he becomes the lynchpin of a massive counterfeit stamp paper scam worth ₹30,000 crores. Scam 2003 Part 2 will focus on his downfall, and how he becomes a threat to the politicians and police honchos who facilitated his massive scam.
Kiran Yadnyopavit, Kedar Patankar and Karan Vyas are the scriptwriters for Scam 2003. Hansal Mehta, director of Scam 1992, plays showrunner this time. Scam 2003 is directed by Tushar Hiranandani. Applause Entertainment and Studio NEXT are the producers of the series.
