Scarlett Johansson To Star In Thriller Series For Prime Video!

A delightful surprise to fans, Scarlett Johansson is finally set to make her much anticipated major TV debut. After her legal battle and consequent make-up with Disney, the ‘Avengers: Endgame’ actress has signed her first major role in a limited TV series for Prime Video.

The series will be a legal thriller and will be based on the ‘Just Cause’ novel. It is interesting since this will be the second time Johansson will be associated with a project based on the novel. She had, in 1995, appeared in a feature film starring Sean Connery, based on the same novel where she played the daughter of Connery’s character. It was the second film of her career.

The character Johansson is reportedly roped in to play was originally a male character in the novel. The TV series will center on Madison ‘Madi’ Cowart (Johansson), a newspaper agency reporter assigned to cover the final days of a death row inmate and comes to believe the prisoner’s claims of innocence. Aside from starring in the series, the two-time Oscar nominee will also be an executive producer on the project. ‘Just Cause’ is being produced by Warner Bros TV.

One of the most popular stars working today, Scarlett Johansson is on a roll. Since her high-profile win in the legal dispute against a mammoth like Disney, the actress has many huge projects ahead. She is currently filming Apple TV+’s ‘Project Artemis’ for director Greg Berlanti. She will also be seen in Wes Anderson’s ‘Asteroid City’ and Kristin Scott Thomas’ ‘My Mother’s Wedding’.
