There is some good news for fans of science fiction films. The much anticipated sci-fi adventure drama ‘Crater’ is now streaming on Disney+Hotstar.
Crater is written by John Griffin and directed by Kyle Patrick Alvarez. The wonderfully executed film is adapted from the story written by Griffin and Rpin Suwannath.
The movie is made out of a budget of over 53 million US Dollars and has a star cast with actors like Isaiah Russell-Bailey, Mckenna Grace, Billy Barratt, Orson Hong, Thomas Boyce and Scott Mescudi. The performances are impressive and the cinematography is really mind blowing. The shots and the color grading are done with dedication. The cinematography has been handled by Jas Shelton and the music for the films is composed by Dan Romer and Osei Essed.
Crater tells the story of a young boy Caleb Channing who is going to be escorted to a far away planet after the death of his father. But Caleb wants to fulfill his father’s last wish, so he goes out on an adventure on the moon with his three best friends and a newcomer to a crater.
Crater is a children based Disney+ original movie. There are very few movies made for children that are actually loyal to the genre of science fiction. With sequels, franchises and continuous remakes and adaptations of superhero stories, there is certainly a void for good quality sci-fi movies for children. Hopefully Crater will play its bit to inspire children towards the genre.
