Season 3: When and How Will the Adventure Continue in “Lost in Space”?

The premise is a crash landing, an unknown planet and hidden dangers. All the Robinson family has to do is survive the odds and escape. It is based on the 1965-1968 series of the same name. The series led by Zack Estrin was renewed for a final season on 9th March 2020 by Netflix. However, Zack Estrin has signed a multiyear deal with Netflix so look forward to more adventures.

What happened at the end of Season 2 (premiered on 24th December, 2019):

The finale for season 2 episode 10 titled ‘Ninety Seven’ ended with the Robinson family split up after being attacked by a group of robots. Maureen and John Robinson (parents) fought the robots with the help of savior bot ‘scarecrow’. Jupiter transport carrying all the children and Judy Robinson find a vessel ‘The Fortuna’ which has been mentioned throughout the series is related to Judy’s biological father, Grant Kelly. They also find the scarf and a blue ball picked up by the villainous Dr. Smith on Jupiter 2.

Some fan theories suggest that Grant Kelly may be alive and that Netflix may recruit some old cast members to reappear in the final season.

What to know about Season 3:

Due to Covid 19, the series shoot has been postponed to September 2020 and wrapping in January 2020. So the final season can be expected in mid 2021. Season 3 is likely to be shot in Canada. ‘Lex Elle’ is joining the last season as the character Park according to the latest information on IMDB. The main conflict for Season 3 would be to uncover John and Maureen trying to find their children and discovering the unchartered territory of Jupiter 2. Also whether Dr Smith has really changed or is she going to plot against the Robinsons family again.
