Filmmaker Selvaraghavan took everyone by surprise on Twitter today when he shared two brand new posters of Dhanush’s Naane Varuven. The film’s shoot wrapped up a while ago. And fans are anxiously waiting to see their favourite actor on the big screen again. Well, the upcoming Tamil project will soon hit the theatres.
The film also marks the reuniting of Dhanush and Selvaraghavan after Mayakkam Enna (2011).
Dhanush has dual roles in Naane Varuven. The actor has never done something like this in his career before. Selvaraghavan is keeping his lips tight about the movie’s plot. But various reports have revealed that one of the actor’s dual roles is the primary antagonist in the film.
Dhanush opened his film account this year with Karthick Naren’s Maaran. The film’s bland storytelling and poor script received strong criticism from critics and audiences both. Then, his next project with Russo Brothers, The Gray Man, turned out to be a chaotic misfire instead of being a stylish and hard-hitting action thriller. Although, the viewers praised the actor for his portrayal of Lone Wolf, Lloyd Hansen’s sexy Tamil friend. His last theatrical release, Thiruchitrambalam, was a huge commercial success.
In addition to the leading man, the film’s cast treasures talents like Prabhu, Yogi Babu, Indhuja Ravichandran, Shelly Kishore, Elli AvrRam, and many more. Yuvan Shankar Raja has composed the score. On the other hand, Om Prakash handled the film’s cinematography.
