The official teaser for ‘Sergeant’ starring Randeep Hooda has been released. The film will have a direct OTT release and it is going to premiere on the 30th of June on JioCinema. Sergeant will also have actors like Adil Hussain, Arun Govil, Sapna Pabbi and more.
The film will tell the story of a cop working on an unfinished case. ‘Sergeant’ is written and directed by Prawaal Raman, who worked with Hooda in ‘Main Aur Charles’ in 2015. Main Air Charles was the story of one of the most dreaded criminals, Mr. Charles Sobhraj. Prawaal Raman has a pretty celebrated filmography with titles like ‘404’, ‘Darna Mana Hai’, ‘Darna Zaroori Hai’. Randeep Hooda, on the other hand, had his JioCinema release ‘Inspector Avinash’ very recently and was admired for his performance. He did a quite great body transformation for ‘Veer Savarkar’ as well.
The teaser features Randeep Hooda as a disturbed police officer in some foreign land, who had previously been an alcoholic and a very unstable human being. He is being questioned whether he is fine now and is he free from the addiction and able to join the department now. Sergeant Sharma, goes to investigate a case that has not been solved yet. The case seems to be the one that set him off track and derailed his life. Adil Hussain plays a colleague and well-wisher who does not want him to pursue the case for his own good.
