Shabaash Mithu is based on the life of highly celebrated and respectable Indian cricketer Mithali Raj. She is a legendary figure whose contribution to the Indian cricket team is unparalleled.
It was released in theatres on 15th July and was terribly bombed at the box office. It failed to garner even 10 crores and is no less a fiasco than Ranveer Singh’s 83 which was also based on cricket.
But, the story of Mithali Raj needs to be told to people so that they don’t down look women’s cricket team.
It stars Taapsee Pannu essaying the titular character with Vijay Raaz, Mumtaz Sorcar, Brijendra Kala and more.
Regardless, for telling the same story, OTT comes to the rescue as Shabaash Mithu is soon getting available for streaming on not one but two OTT platforms.
Just like 83 which was also released on two platforms, so will follow Shabaash Mithu.
It will be available to stream on both Netflix and Voot Select.
On August 12th, the movie will be available on Netflix and probably on Voot Select too. Although there hasn’t been any official announcement regarding the same by Voot, there are high chances of the film dropping on 12th August itself.
At least on Netflix, the film will be available to stream in not only Hindi but also Tamil and Telugu.
