Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan and Tamil director Atlee‘s much talked about film is reportedly titled ‘Jawaan’. The teaser for the film is certified and ready for launch soon. But even before the Jawaan Teaser could be launched, the inevitable happened – the audio of the teaser got leaked! The bane of the Indian entertainment industry — illegal leaks —struck again.
As soon as the Jawaan teaser audio was leaked, it was uploaded on several YouTube channels. The teaser also spread like wildfire amongst social media users. The Jawaan teaser audio was also uploaded on Facebook pages, and shared widely by SRK fans. Scores of Twitter handles have tweeted the YouTube and Facebook uploads, and hundreds of Twitter users have heard the audio. Not just the audio of the teaser, several Twitter accounts have also posted a few images from Shah Rukh Khan and Atlee’s film. Some have posted detailed descriptions of Jawaan teaser scenes. This effectively means that even visuals from the Jawaan teaser got leaked on social media.
Before the situation could get out of hand, though, Red Chillies Entertainment, the producers of Jawaan, moved quickly to stem the further spread of the teaser leak. Red Chillies Entertainment initiated the Copyright Strike provision of YouTube, via which the platform pulls down content that infringes the copyright of legal content owners – Red Chillies Entertainment, in this case.
The Jawaan Teaser video and audio are now unavailable on YouTube, as a result of the quick action taken by Red Chillies Entertainment. Despite this, many social media users have saved the audio of the teaser, and are freely sharing it on Twitter on DM.
Interestingly, Red Chillies Entertainment had plans to launch the Jawaan Teaser within a couple of days. But they postponed the launch in deference of singer KK’s tragic death on June 1. Alas, the delay in the launch of the Jawaan Teaser cost them dear.
Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawaan Teaser should be launched soon. The film stars Shah Rukh Khan, reportedly in a double role, along with Nayanthara, and Priyamani. Sunil Grover also has a prominent role in the film. Tamil director Atlee (Mersal, Bigil, Theri) is helming the film.
Not much was revealed by way of the Jawaan teaser leak. However, content leaks and piracy are abominable and must be condemned in the strongest possible terms.
