Farzi is one of the biggest successes Indian OTT has ever seen. The enormous reception not only in India but also Internationally is a benchmark that’ll take some time to get repeated.
Regardless, the ending of the show, just like any Raj & DK show, is complete yet incomplete. The main problem statement of the first season has been solved but there is still a cliffhanger to tempt the audience for the second season. Thus, it is a smart move in every sense as the goodness of the first season will push the audience toward the second one.
Now when Shahid Kapoor arrived for a media interaction, he was naturally asked about the possibility of a second season. To this, he replied in Hindi that there will certainly be a second one. It is just that the pre-production to the final release will take a time of about two years. Yes, this wait can be a little pinching but it happens nonetheless. There can be a little done to curb this without hampering the overall quality of the show. Also, when it comes to quality then nobody would want it to be compromised for a little quickness.
He stated, I am sure there will be a Farzi season 2, but these things take time. It takes one-and-a-half to two years for post-production with the series being dubbed in 35-40 languages and getting released in over 200 countries. When the shoot happens, it will take a further time for release. So, I think there are still around two years left before the release of Farzi 2.
This news is a treat indeed but let’s see how it gets executed.
