The first look for Shahid Kapoor’s upcoming film ‘Deva’ is here and it’s more of a motion poster than a first look. Helmed by Rosshan Andrrews, ‘Deva’ will release in cinemas on 31st January, 2025.
The first look for ‘Deva’ features Shahid Kapoor in an intense gangster style with a cigarette in between his teeth. He plays an angry young man kinda a role in the film as tried to portray with Amitabh Bachchan’s poster from those days in the backdrop. The background score is a peppy number that characterises his flamboyant vibe.
‘Deva’s’ plot is described as one that follows a brilliant yet rebellious police officer investigating a high profile case. As he delved deeper into the case, he uncovers a web of deceit and betrayal, leading him down a thrilling and dangerous path.
Helmed by famous Malayalam director Rosshan Andrrews ‘Deva’ marks the filmmaker’s Bollywood debut who is known for his Malayalam blockbusters like ‘Salute’ and ‘Kayamkulam Kochunni’. The film is written by the duo Bobby-Sanjay who are also making their debut in Hindi cinema.
In addition to Shahid, ‘Deva’ also stars Pooja Hegde (‘Radhe Shyam’, Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo’, ‘Most Eligible Bachelor’, ‘Maharshi’, ‘Housefull 4’ ),Pavail Gulati (‘Thappad’, ‘Faadu’, ‘Goodbye’, ‘Doobara’) and Kubbra Sait (‘Sacred Games’, ‘Sultan’, ‘Ready’, ‘Gully Boy’) in prominent roles.
Among the technical crew, Amit Roy handles the cinematography while editing is done by A. Sreekar Prasad. The music is composed by Sachet-Parampara with Jakes Bejoy providing the score.
A high octane action thriller drama, ‘Deva’ is first such collaboration between Zee Studios and Roy Kapur Films. ‘Deva’ will release in theatres on 31st January, 2025.
