An action thriller film on Valentine’s Day! Well, that’s what the makers of Shahid Kapoor’s upcoming film ‘Deva’ have planned for the film. Just a few days ago ‘Deva’ wrapped filming and has now got a release date.
Helmed by famous Malayalam director Rosshan Andrrews ‘Deva’ marks the filmmaker’s Bollywood debut who is known for his Malayalam blockbusters like ‘Salute’ and ‘Kayamkulam Kochunni’. The film is written by the duo Bobby-Sanjay who are also making their debut in Hindi cinema.
The release date announcement came with a picture of Shahid Kapoor who looks all raw and jacked up, wearing a bullet proof police vest while holding a gun in his hands. The background is that of an old messy building but most of it is not clear as it’s all dusty and rugged.
‘Deva’s’ plot is described as one that follows a brilliant yet rebellious police officer investigating a high profile case. As he delved deeper into the case, he uncovers a web of deceit and betrayal, leading him down a thrilling and dangerous path.
In addition to Shahid, ‘Deva’ also stars Pooja Hegde (‘Radhe Shyam’, Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo’, ‘Most Eligible Bachelor’, ‘Maharshi’, ‘Housefull 4’ ), Pavail Gulati (‘Thappad’, ‘Faadu’, ‘Goodbye’, ‘Doobara’) and Kubbra Sait (‘Sacred Games’, ‘Sultan’, ‘Ready’, ‘Gully Boy’) in prominent roles.
Among the technical crew, Amit Roy handles the cinematography while editing is done by A. Sreekar Prasad. The music is composed by Sachet-Parampara with Jakes Bejoy providing the score.
A high octane action thriller drama, ‘Deva’ is first such collaboration between Zee Studios and Roy Kapur Films. ‘Deva’ will release in theatres on 14th February, 2025.
