Shahid Kapoor’s Yoddha Is Not Going Live Anytime Soon, Confirms Director

Shahid Kapoor’s Yoddha is on a halt for the time being. As confirmed by director Shashank Khaitan, they will begin production once the pandemic is over.

There was a buzz in late 2020 that Shahid has left the Dharma banner film Yoddha due to creative differences. But recently, the director of the film himself, Shashank Khaitan confirmed that there is no such rift between the actor and the production house, owned by Karan Johar.

Khaitan confirmed that he and Shahid are still working out the details of Yoddha, and hoping that they can collaborate soon. “The truth is that the film has to be shot in multiple countries. The times we are living in, I don’t even know if we can travel to Borivali for a shoot. So, we weren’t sure if we could pull it off during the pandemic,” the director said.

Meanwhile, Shahid Kapoor just completed the shoot for the remake of 2019 Telugu Blockbuster Jersey and now, is busy with Raj & DK’s next yet-to-be-named OTT venture.

Khaitan who has previously directed films like Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and Badrinath Ki Dulhania, on the other side, is currently focusing on his upcoming project featuring Vicky Kaushal.

It’s really troubling to see so many projects are getting postponed or even canceled due to pandemic but as fans, we can only hope that the normalcy returns soon and we can finally witness these most awaited projects go live all over the world.
