The popular filmmaker brothers Joe and Anthony Russo have said that they are still waiting for a script for the live action adaptation of the 1997 film ‘Hercules’.
Russo Brothers will act as producers for the movie and filmmaker Guy Ritchie is said to be roped in for the direction. Guy Ritchie has previously directed films like ‘Wrath Of Man’, ‘The Gentlemen’, ‘The Covenant’ and many more and has earned a huge fanbase all over the world. If he directs the live action ‘Hercules’ it will definitely be a very big thing for the fans.
The 1997 ‘Hercules’ was a Disney musical and much different from the two Hercules films starring Chris Hemsworth and Dwayne Johnson. The live action remake will be a musical as well and it will be curious to see how the director balances between the superb action required for the movie and the musical tone. The animated ‘Hercules’ was directed by John Musker and Ron Clements and was a huge hit at the box office. The last few live action remakes of Disney movies are not doing business as expected. The casting and music of Hercules will have much affect on its viewership.
There are however no information about the cast details and when the movie might actually be released. There is still the wait fir a good script for the movie and as soon as the scriptvis gotten, the production for the movie will start.
