The Master of Kung Fu finally gets his own teaser today. MCU’s very own Asian Superhero Shang-Chi is finally coming to the silver screens and the teaser revealed earlier today, will surely leave the fans craving for more.
The newest addition to the MCU, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings which will be the 25th film of the franchise, just released its first teaser. Though the teaser doesn’t reveal the arc of the story but it’s evident from the teaser that the story will surely be the origin story of Shang-Chi and the ‘’original’’ Mandarin, after Ben Kingsley’s imposter from Iron Man 3.
The entire 125 seconds teaser revolves around Shang-Chi training by himself with his father’s voice over in the background with a statement, “You can’t outrun who you really are”, followed by some extreme action sequences with Shang-Chi saving an entire bus, full of passengers in the end.
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is reportedly directed by Destin Daniel Cretton and stars Simu Liu as Shang-Chi, alongside a stellar cast including Awkwafina, Tony Leung, Fala Chen, Meng’er Zhang, Florian Munteanu, Ronny Chieng, and Michelle Yeoh. With Shang-Chi, Simu Liu is set to become the first Asian actor to lead a MCU film.
As a part of Phase Four of the MCU along with Black Widow and Spider-Man: No Way Home, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is scheduled to be released in the United States on September 3, 2021 and after the release of this first teaser, MCU fans are definitely bound to go gaga!
