Shark Tank India Defeats Big Boss OTT By a Big Margin

Shark Tank India Season 4 has quietly set a new benchmark in the world of Indian reality shows. Streaming on Sony Liv, the show has amassed 36.1 million views in just nine weeks, making it one of the most-watched streaming originals in India.

But that is not the big news. The big news is that it has surpassed Bigg Boss OTT 3, a show that has traditionally drawn massive audiences. While Bigg Boss OTT 3 had 17.8 million views, Shark Tank India 4 managed 102% more, showing a shift in what audiences are choosing to watch.

The show, judged by business leaders like Aman Gupta, Namita Thapar, and Peyush Bansal, has struck a chord with viewers in a different way. Instead of scripted drama or conflicts, it offers stories of entrepreneurs trying to turn their ideas into reality. It’s a different kind of entertainment—one that inspires rather than just entertains.

This season has also performed significantly better than its predecessor. Season 3 had 12.5 million views, but Season 4 has almost tripled that, proving that business storytelling is finding a larger audience.

Well, the original audience of Shar Tank India Season 1 is pretty disappointed by the inclusion of unnecessary drama on the show but it looks like the show is still thriving commercially.
