The leading lady, Tatiana Maslany, has won the hearts of critics. Her smooth and badass portrayal of the female superhero is undoubtedly one of the show’s brightest points.
Here’s what we have so far on Marvel’s She-Hulk series!
Brandon Davis from ComicBook.com wrote in his tweet, “#SheHulk has a surprising amount of ties to the rest of the MCU past and future and some legendary credits scenes on every episode. It’s very easy to get hooked on this show if you like fun.”
ComicBook’s own and the host of Phase Zero MCU, Jenna Anderson, said, “I’ve now seen the first four #SheHulk three times, and they’re everything I want them to be, and so much more. The show is breezy, unabashedly weird, and wildly entertaining. This sets a new gold standard for what MCU shows are capable of.”
Popular American TV personality, Roxy Striar, singled out Maslany’s stud take on the titular character. “Really dug the first 4 eps of #SheHulk. Tatiana Maslany is a stud. So lovable & badass. A few appearances & mentions that cracked me up! Really fun tone & great energy. I bet y’all will like it.”
One of the hosts of Heroes Reforged, a prominent YouTube reaction channel, called Jennifer Walters’ relationship with his cousin Bruce Banner relatable. “I’ve seen the first 4 episodes of #SheHulk this thing is basically firing on all cylinders for me. Tatiana Maslany is pitch-perfect and Jennifer’s relationship with her cousin Bruce is so relatable. It’s incredibly charming and, most important, you care about Jen so much.”
Cinelinx’s editor-in-chief, Jordan Maison, tweeted, “#SheHulk rules incredibly hard. Feels like the most “TV show” of Marvel shows so far (mean that in the best way possible). Genuinely hilarious, Tatiana Maslany kills it, and it makes excellent MCU connections w/out feeling weighed down by it all. A ridiculous amount of fun.”
The She-Hulk series suffered a huge backlash from fans after its teaser came out. Viewers strongly criticised the superhero’s CGI, Titania’s costume, the decision of nerfing Hulk way more than the events of Avengers: Endgame, and many more elements from the show. However, these first reactions may turn the tide for the upcoming Disney+ series.
She-Hulk: Attorney at Law stars Tatiana Maslany, Mark Ruffalo, Ginger Gonzaga, Jameela Jamil, Josh Segarra, Tim Roth, Charlie Cox, and many more. It will come out on August 18 and consists of nine episodes. Indian viewers can watch it on Disney+ Hotstar. Stay tuned for more updates.
