Alt Balaji, the streaming platform is going all out to promote their much anticipated, upcoming web series “Broken But Beautiful” Season 3. The show stars Sonia Rathee in the lead along with TV’s hottest star at the moment, Sidharth Shukla. But right now, Alt Balaji is trending and this time for all the wrong reasons. This time it is Shehnaaz Gill’s fans that have come up and started voicing out their anger for something that could have been completely avoided.
Well, the news about the series isn’t new to anyone as everyone has been seeing this all around. What actually caught people’s eyes was when they saw Alt Balaji liking a very derogatory and inappropriate meme that was aimed at actress Shehnaaz Gill. This came after the streaming platform announced it will be releasing the “Mere Liye” track from the upcoming web-series.
As soon as fans saw that Alt Balaji has gone on to like something that is insulting Shehnaaz Gill, the hashtag #ShameOnAltBalaji started trending in no time and some even went on to threaten that they would be cancelling the upcoming web-series. It started catching everyone’s attention. Now this wasn’t limited to Shehnaaz’s fans as everyone else joined in mentioning how insensitive it was of Alt Balaji to like such a meme.

It quickly came to Alt Balaji’s notice and immediately they issued an apology to the fans and also the actress. This came from Autumn Worldwide, a Digital & Social Media agency that runs and handles the social media profiles of Alt Balaji. They mentioned that it was actually due to one of the worker’s “human error” and that they will rectify it, promising to move ahead, without hurting anyone’s sentiments and feelings.
