‘Shehzada‘ is finally in theatres, and Kartik Aaryan fans have wasted no time in watching the film of their favourite actor in the theatres. Interestingly, not just Kartik Aaryan, but even Allu Arjun fans have made it a point to watch Shehzada in the theatres. The film is the official Hindi remake of Allu Arjun’s blockbuster Telugu film Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo. That is also one of the reasons why film buffs have made a beeline to the theatres – to watch Shehzada, and see how it has panned out as compared to the original Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo.
And the verdict is out. Most theatre-goers and even critics have appreciates Kartik Aaryan’s earnest performance in Shehzada. But all have said that the unique mad-cap flavour of the original Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo is missing in the Hindi remake, Shehzada. As per critics and audiences, Shehzada is good, but not a patch on the original.
That aside, one significant thing that every Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo fan has noticed, and is horrified about, is the fact that Shehzada has skipped recreating the iconic boardroom scene of Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo. The scene is a hallmark of the fun and irreverence of the Telugu movie. Allu Arjun is in his element in the scene, which is a defining part of Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo.
Fans have gone as far as to say that if the makers hadn’t skipped recreating the boardroom scene in Shehzada, the film would have been more worthy of watching. Some said the boardroom scene is the best scene in Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, and skipping it is unthinkable. Another said that without the boardroom scene, is Shehzada even an Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo remake.
