When the makers announced that they were coming up with a Desi Sherlock Holmes then it was not received well with the audiences. Even before the series could go on the floors, people bombarded it with trolls of the highest kind.
Now that the series titled Shekhar Home has finally been released, what are people saying?
Before we answer that question, let’s tell you something. If you have read the original Sherlock Holmes by Arthur Conan Doyle then you would realise that the man deliberately made Sherlock Holmes extra charming. He is a young man who plays a violin and smokes a cigar. He also has a way with the women who usually drool after him.
He is a gentleman of the sort who tries to save someone’s honour if the alternative is catching the criminal.
The bottom line is, that Sherlock is meant to be a highly charming character.
Makers have ensured that this defining feature of Sherlock is translated into Shekhar Home. Rest may follow.
People swooned at the performance of Kay Kay Menon and Ranvir Shorey but they have nothing else to appreciate.
The series is extremely slow and fails to grab the attention in the first three episodes. Indians are screaming for originality but the makers have turned a deaf ear.

Engaging and Entertaining. Just wish the cases were more complex and true to the heart of original adventures.
Only sore point is the nemesis of this series - a bit too over the top and dramatic.
