Shows That Ruled Netflix This October

October saw the release of some of the most brilliant series, shows and movies in Netflix for this year. It would be hard to top these releases, at least in the near future. With releases from all languages and countries and almost all of them being quite big hits. These series have now successfully ruled Netflix India.

Emily in Paris ( 2nd October)

Emily in Paris was one of the firsts in October to release and it has rocked the charts ever since. The story line wasn’t extra ordinary to be honest but the pure execution of all the characters made it into a success. It was a fun, short, series that can be watched at any given moment of your day. It can liven up the moods altogether. This short series also showed the reality of how the fashion capital of the world, Paris normally works. Even after a month the show is in the top 10 in Netflix India

Haunting of The Bly Manor (9th October)

The much awaited sequel to the successful Haunting of the Hill House was second in line to rule Netflix India. With a scary story that turned more heart breaking one, this series made everyone fall in love with the secrets of the Manor and its lake. It was beautifully told and most importantly, it was a romantic story that should have a much-needed appreciation. The show ruled the charts well into the beginning of the 4th week of October and can be said is most definitely loved series for October

The Queen’s Gambit (23rd October)

It started ruling the chart the moment it released. With an amazingly unique story, that wasn’t earlier portrayed in this way, it followed the journey of Beth Harmon, an orphan and a chess prodigy. Her love for chess and the love and hate relationship with her addiction was very beautifully put together. It most definitely deserves a place in the charts and looks like it is very much here to stay.

A Suitable Boy (23rd October)

A drama miniseries that was already released by BBC One was released in Netflix on the 23rd. As soon as it released, it got its place in the chart. The new age, post independence, the changing freedom, the beauty and charm of old India, struck the cords with many immediately with its release. It is ruling the charts at the moment since the last week of October and might as well stay for a while.

Lucifer (August 21)

Yes, Lucifer released in August and very well sat at the chart till October. The ever so charming devil came back with the first half of Season 5 and has since seen a fluctuation in the chart. It has been an on and off scene, though mostly it was on the chart and majority of the time in the month of October. Though the plot wasn’t that strong this time around but we can hope that our dearest Satan will bid us goodbye with a banger of second half Season 5

Documentary Series

Bad Boy Billionaires: India (5th October)

Ok, this is one series I don’t get why people are so attached that it hasn’t dropped off the Top 10 chart for once the entire month since its release. As it has the infamous Vijay Mallya, Nirav Modi, Subrata Roy and Ramalinga Raju, the show garnered instant attention from us Indians. That is what was needed for it to be on the chart. But after a lot of legal battles, the producers and showrunners might be having peace of mind since its one of the most trending show since the release and ruled the entire October mostly.
