Fans of Shruti Haasan will be glad to know that the pretty actress has bagged an as yet untitled Amazon Prime Video series. Arjan Bajwa has been signed on to play the male lead. The series also features Bollywood star Mithun Chakraborty in a crucial role. The Amazon Prime series will mark the web debut of Mithun Chakraborty. The shoot of the series has already begun, and is progressing at a fast clip in Mussoorie.
The Amazon Prime Series is an adaptation of Ravi Subramanian’s best-selling novel, titled “The Bestseller She Wrote”. The plot is incendiary, and is a heady cocktail of love, betrayal and redemption. The protagonist Aditya Kapoor is a banker turned bestselling author of pulp fiction. He comes across a besotted fan, Shreya Kaushik, who wants to become a bestselling author like him. Aditya has a torrid affair with Shreya, despite having a beautiful, loving wife. Arjan Bajwa will play Aditya, while Shruti Hassan will play Shreya.
Besides the aforementioned three actors, the series features Guauhar Khan, who will most likely play the role of Aditya’s wife, and Annu Kapoor. It is still not clear what roles Annu Kapoor and Mithun Da will portray.
The series is produced by Siddharth P Malhotra, and directed by Mukul Abhyankar. The crew plans to finish off the shoot of the show in a start to finish schedule of two months in Mussoorie. The tentative release date for the series on Amazon Prime Video is stated to be for the second half of 2021.

It is an anthology of short films that premieres this week on the streaming platform. Besides this, she had a crucial role in Devi, the hard-hitting short film that debuted on YouTube, a starring role in ZEE5’s film Yaara, and a crucial role in Amazon Prime Video‘s Tamil anthology, Pudham Pudhu Kaalai.
