Makers of ‘Dhadak 2’ have finally officially announced the film with a teaser video highlighting the film’s central theme. A sequel to the hit 2018 film ‘Dhadak’ and starring ‘Gully Boy’ fame Siddhant Chaturvedi and ‘Animal’ star ‘Tripti Dimri’, ‘Dhadak 2’ has also got a release date.
The announcement was made today with a video launch that talks about inequality, caste discrimination, education, resistance and more. The video also gives a glimpse of the story of Vidhisha and Nilesh who love each other but the society and its norms are keeping them apart. Will they be able to overcome the various obstacles and be together.
‘Dhadak 2’ is directed by Shazia Iqbal and stars Siddhant Chaturvedi and Tripti Dimri in lead roles. The film is produced by Karan Johar, Umesh Kr Bansal, Hiroo Yash Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Meenu Aroraa, and Somen Mishra.
Jointly produced by Zee Studios, Dharma Productions and Cloud 9 Pictures, ‘Dhadak 2’ will release in cinemas on 22nd November, 2024. Post theatrical streaming rights for ‘Dhadak 2’ are with Netflix.
